Summer Homework - Let's have a conversation!

Posted Date: 06/07/26 (12:00 PM)

Eagles,

I hope you have found time to relax and have some fun for the past two weeks of summer vacation.  I have reflected about this past school year, and I want to share one major A-ha I had about an area of need all of our Eagles, TK-6th grade, continue to need support in from their support system; us - the adults in their lives that are working together to help them become the great human beings that they are.  The area of need is in the area of communicating their thoughts and needs.  Here at school, we continue to find our students struggle with being comfortable sharing their feelings, sharing their thoughts, and advocating for themselves.  I challenge you and our Eagles to put down the electronics; the phones and tablets; and begin to have conversations, have conversations about the importance of advocating for yourself in a respectful manner, and learning to be okay with sharing your feelings and thoughts.  Conversation is so important, conversation at the dinner table, conversation in the car, conversation when out on a walk, etc.; and I look forward to hearing how your conversations went when we see each other in August.

Enjoy a little video I found that gives you helpful ideas on what you can do with your Eagle when unplugging.  Enjoy!  https://youtu.be/CnFHY16KJXY?si=lzJqGSCn0tdMttQv

Keep soaring and have a safe summer,
